About

SIMR is a cloud engineering company with a fully remote team spread across Türkiye and the United States. As the company continued to grow, the leadership team wanted to create a meaningful in person experience that would go beyond a classic company gathering.

Verte partnered with SIMR and Mindahead to co-design the summit experience around the theme Unite & Ignite. The experience was designed to help the team reconnect, reflect on their ways of working, strengthen ownership, and build shared momentum for the next phase of growth.

The summit combined facilitated dialogues, team activities, reflective sessions, project based conversations, and informal bonding moments. The design aimed to balance strategic alignment with emotional connection, helping participants feel both included and activated.

Why Was the Project Needed?

SIMR had a fully remote and globally distributed team. While remote work created flexibility and access to talent, it also made intentional connection, shared culture, and cross team alignment more important.

The company needed a summit experience that could help people reconnect as a whole organization, not just as functional teams. The goal was to create a stronger sense of belonging, surface shared priorities, and encourage employees to take more ownership in shaping the company’s future.

The challenge was to design an experience that felt energizing, sincere, and useful for a diverse team, while avoiding a generic corporate offsite format.

How Did We Solve It?

We approached the summit as a facilitated organizational experience, not simply as an event agenda.

First, we worked with the leadership team to clarify the summit’s intention, desired outcomes, and cultural themes. The Unite & Ignite theme was translated into an experience flow that moved from connection and trust building toward reflection, alignment, and activation.

The agenda included interactive sessions that helped participants explore team dynamics, communication patterns, psychological safety, ownership, and future focused collaboration. Activities were designed to create both structured dialogue and informal connection, allowing participants to share perspectives, listen to one another, and make meaning of the company’s next phase together.

Throughout the summit, facilitation focused on creating a safe, engaging, and high energy environment. Participants were invited to contribute actively, work across teams, reflect on their own role in the organization, and identify practical ways to carry the summit energy into everyday work.

What was the Impact?

The summit created a shared moment of reconnection and renewed momentum for SIMR’s remote team.

Participants had the opportunity to know each other beyond daily work interactions, strengthen cross team relationships, and reflect on how they contribute to SIMR’s future. The experience helped build a stronger sense of collective ownership, while giving the leadership team valuable insight into team dynamics, cultural strengths, and areas for further development.

Beyond the event itself, the summit established a foundation for ongoing conversations around collaboration, ownership, communication, and scale up readiness. It helped turn a company gathering into a meaningful cultural touchpoint for the organization’s next chapter.
